Reviews & Testimonials

I’m proud of my classes and so are the people who attend – below you can find a list of reviews from clients and businesses I have ran courses with.

A few comments from people past and present who have worked with me.

‘Having begun to experience age-related balance issues I decided to try tai Chi as a means of stabilising my condition. It has worked! I have found the classes run by Daf to be good fun as well as extremely helpful.’

‘Always fancied Tai Chi but never had the courage to do anything about it. So glad I did. It exercises the brain as much as the body. Daf is so clear in her instruction and so gentle in her manner. Highly recommended.

‘I love my tai Chi classes. It’s been a sense of achievement to me to have learned the 2 forms. I practice most days at home.’

‘The movements of Tai Chi and Qigong are helping me to manage pain relief.’

‘Having done Tai Chi for a few weeks, I feel the benefit in suppleness and balance.’

‘Friendly and always encouraging rather than critical. I can recommend Tai Chi class to everyone who requires gentle exercise with a structure and purpose, whatever their level of fitness’.

‘Tai Chi is perfect for staying active in retirement. It exercises joints and muscles in a gentle way and helps me stay strong and mobile.’

‘Tai Chi makes me feel calm and relaxed, feels that I am exercising my whole body, it’s great being part of a class and I am sure it helps with my well-being’.

‘I would recommend Tai Chi for anyone to try, not only do I feel fitter but I have a more positive mental attitude.’

Testimonials for Freshfield Fitness YouTube – Online Sessions

‘Thank you so much for doing your daily tai chi videos. I am doing them
every day and really feeling the benefit and feeling like I am able to
learn it better for the 1 to 1 tuition. It is also keeping my husband calm
whilst he is waiting to find out if he can go back to work. Really
appreciate it.’

‘Just wanted you to know how much I am enjoying your (online) lessons. They are so
easy to follow. I’m just not very good at balancing or my coordination, but I
will get better. Going to tell my friends about them so hope they will join
in. Thank you.’

‘Just finished this morning (#taichiat10) session and it was a great workout. I am disciplining myself to be ready for your daily session and they have
proved to get me physically and mentally going for the day ahead. Namaste’

‘I really enjoyed it (#taichiat10). I think it is very easy for complete beginners to
follow and also interesting for those, like myself who have been with you
for a few months. I particularly like having a bit of a flow.
I’ve fallen in love with this channel and your flows. Excellent!’

‘Thank you very much for your (online) classes which I enjoy so much and look forward
to the next session. I am 73 and an ex PE teacher. Your lesson is very
clear and challenging with differentiation to suit total beginners ( like
me ) and more experienced ( like my friend). Cheers’

‘I started late and am not doing every day so did this seated one today.
15/04. I found it really helped me to concentrate on my core. I’m 8 weeks
post my left hip replacement and 7 month post right hip and your gentle tai
chi is a great follow on from the exercises I was given. I’m going to be
fitter than i have been for years! Thank you!’

‘I just thought I’d let you know that I have now discovered how to access u tube on my tv, and I have just finished your exercise in the garden.’

‘Thank you very much for Tai Chi at 10!! I am really enjoying the sessions.
I have also recruited a good friend of mine who enjoyed Pilates but he is
now completely hooked on Tai Chi and following you daily. Well done.

Comments from corporate clients who have worked with me.

‘Daphne from Freshfield Fitness was very helpful and understanding of our members health condition and was able to tailor her session accordingly. Conducting a session with over 80 people in attendance at our Conference last year was very impressive and our members were very pleased with the outcome!’ (Nov 2018)

‘Daf offered FREE taster Tai chi sessions during our health and wellness event for members of the community. The session was open, relaxed and very engaging. Everyone in the room, whether they were sitting or standing got involved, which is testament to Daf. All feedback was really positive, with some even considering Tai Chi as a lifestyle change. ‘I stumbled across Daphne from Freshfield Fitness on social media and was delighted when she accepted my offer to take part in our workplace wellness programme. Daphne delivered a series of Tai Chi & Qigong classes and the feedback from all attendees was very positive. I was personally only able to attend 1 of the classes, which I found really enjoyable and perfect for a relaxing lunchtime session. Daphnes knowledge and enthusiasm for Tai Chi is wonderful and her passion for teaching these classes is clearly abundant. Hopefully we will try Tai Chi again soon! (Dec 2019)

‘To Daphne at Freshfield Fitness – A HUGE thank you again for coming in to teach our children over the last two weeks. All staff involved and the children (aged between 5 and 9) loved it. Your enthusiasm for Tai Chi was infectious and it was a great opportunity to teach the children how to connect their minds, bodies and their breathing! It was a really new skill for lots of the children and they found it challenging and rewarding at the same time. We all left your sessions feeling relaxed and uplifted. We look forward to having you back to Redgate very soon. Many thanks.’ (Nov 2019)
